At the meeting of the Scientific Board of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS, the approval of action plans of departments of the Institute for 2019 was discussed.  Speaking about this, academician-secretary of ANAS, director of the Institute of Information Technology, academician Rasim Alguliyev said that scientific researches on the most actual problems of information technologies and information societies in the departments were carried out, spoke about the works to be done and projects to be implemented this year.

The scientist talked about the necessity of strengthening the scientific and theoretical activity of the institute's staff, the reorganization of the institute's scientific seminars, increasing the weight of the scientific and theoretical debates in the departments, reflecting the obtained scientific results in the prestigious international journals, as well as the need to work towards integration of the institute into the global scientific environment.

R. Alguliyev noted that the institute's employees have the opportunity to use the world's prestigious academic databases and urged them to be active in this direction.

The Director of the Institute also noted the importance of the work on further strengthening the activity of AzScienceNet science computer network, which provides integration of Azerbaijani science into world science by providing high-quality Internet services to scientific institutions and organizations of ANAS.

The action plans of the departments for 2019 were approved by members of the Scientific Board.

Later, academician spoke about the event, which was held on January 17, 2019,  by the AR Scientific Research Coordination Council on "Formation of E-science in the Republic of Azerbaijan and forthcoming tasks".

He noted that consistent and purposeful state policy is being implemented with the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev in connection with the formation and development of e-Azerbaijan. 

R. Alguliyev underlined that the tasks and problems facing the formation of e-science in the direction of implementation of the state policy were discussed. For this purpose, it was decided to prepare the National Strategy and State Program on e-science development.
