Students of MSU Baku Branch to undertake industrial internship at Institute of Information Technology

In accordance with the agreement signed  between the Baku branch of Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) and the Institute of Information Technology (IIT), an industrial internship is being organized for fourth-year undergraduates at the institute.

Throughout the internship, experts from the institute are imparting scientific, theoretical, and technological knowledge to young researchers studying current problems in information technology, while also fostering their practical skills in the field.

To mark the start of the internship, a meeting was held at the institute with fourth-year students from the Faculty of Applied Mathematics of MSU's Baku branch. The meeting was attended by Assoc. Prof. Rashid Alakbarov, Executive Director of the Institute, alongside internship supervisors and key personnel.

Assoc. Prof. Alakbarov noted that research at the Institute of Information Technology is conducted in priority areas aligned with the strategic interests of the state, including artificial intelligence, data analytics, software engineering, natural language processing, cyber-physical systems, digital state, digital medicine, cybersecurity, and deep learning. He also informed the students about the institute's advanced material and technical infrastructure, highlighting the extensive capabilities provided by the AzScienceNet network and the Data Center.

The Executive Director encouraged students to take full advantage of the institute's research environment and expertise, expand their theoretical and technological proficiency, and consider pursuing doctoral studies at IIT in the future.

During the meeting, participants discussed planned research projects, upcoming tasks, and assignments for the internship period.
