Russian robot doctor will advise better than humans

The Russian company Promobot has developed a service medical robot for the initial questioning of patients and issuing recommendations for maintaining health. According to the manufacturer, his “consultations” will be more accurate and more efficient than in the case of live doctors.

From June 19 to June 21, a demo copy will be presented within the framework of the Third Forum of Social Innovation of the Regions at the VDNKh. For an artificial doctor to work, it is necessary to obtain information from the patient about its basic physiological parameters, for example, height and weight. So far, as a result of the analysis, only simple recommendations on lifestyle changes, weight loss and proper nutrition are available to clients of an automated doctor, however, Promobot promises to provide an advanced version that can take a number of tests on its own within a year.

Various products of the Russian manufacturer of industrial robots have repeatedly flashed through the pages of the media. In January 2019, a mysterious traffic accident involving Promobot v.4 and Tesla cars on autopilot was reported. And in the spring of this year, the company announced a “postman” based on the Terminator military robot. As well as the “doctor”, he will have to eliminate the problems of interaction of socially important institutions due to the human factor due to artificial intelligence.
