A conference on the scientific heritage of Lutfi Zade kicks off October 23, 2019 | 12:21 / Important events

The 13th IEEE International Conference on Information and Communication Technologies (AICT 2019) has begun its work at ADA University on 23 October.

Speaking at the event, Rector of ADA University, Ambassador Hafiz Pashayev said that the conference on the scientific heritage of the outstanding scientist Lutfi Zadeh will contribute to the international application of ICT.

The Vice-President of ANAS, Director of the Institute of Information Technologies of ANAS, academician Rasim Alguliyev greeted the participants on behalf of the leadership of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan.

According to him, Azerbaijan, known as the birthplace of fuzzy technologies, will undoubtedly be the locomotive for all "smart" devices, intellectual cyber-physical systems, Big Data analytics and other artificial intelligence during the forthcoming Fourth Industrial Revolution:  It is a great honour that this time, the AICT Conference is dedicated to the memory and scientific legacy of Professor Lutfi Zadeh who was born in Azerbaijan, whose amazing achievements serve the entire world community and finally, according to his will, he was buried in his homeland of Azerbaijan.

In general, a lot of strategic projects, state programs and conceptions are being adopted by the President of Azerbaijan, Mr Ilham Aliyev for capacity building and acceleration of the process of informatization and application of high technologies in different spheres of post-industrial society, he noted.

Along with scientific reports, workshops and business meetings between delegations will be organized within the AICT 2019 conference.
