The scientific seminar of Department No.3 "Research of large-scale scientific data problems in the e-science environment" was held at the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS

Shahana Mansurova introduced the presentation co-authored with the head of department Tahmasib Fataliyev. She noted that large-scale scientific data, Big data, its architecture, characterization, applications in science, as well as scientific data processing technologies and Cloud Services of AzScienceNet were studied.

According to Sh. Mansurova, the reason for the creation of Big data is the increase in the flow of information through the development of information technology and broad application to health, astronomy, bioinformatics, transport, public administration.

She talked about the features characterizing Big data and gave information about its architecture, astronomy, medicine and genomics. The speaker noted that there are many problems with the use of Big data potential.

In the end, views on presentation were exchanged and questions were answered.
