Head of department of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS, PhD in technical sciences Yadigar Imamverdiyev made a report on information security problems for "Big Data" at the scientific seminar of the institute. "Big Data" technologies present a wide range of opportunities to solve information security problems, he added.

According to him, solutions of information security and protection of personal data are of great importance for "Big Data". The problems include information security in the management of large amounts of data infrastructure, data privacy and personal data protection, granular access control, granular audit and real-time information security monitoring and so on.

"Big Data" technology plays a crucial role to respond to information security incidents automatically, and to remove their consequences as soon as possible with minimal costs, and in better quality research,"- he said. Mr.Imamverdiyev mentioned that a wide range of systems designed for the analysis of information security incidents has begun to spread since the mid-2000s.

Speaking of the studies conducted by "Gartner", Mr.Imamverdiyev emphasized that Big Data analytics, which ensures more reliable information security systems, and to eliminate false alarm systems of 25 percent of companies, will be used in cyber security systems by 2016.
