Institute scientists are named in Stanford University's "The World Top 2% Scientists List" for their scientific achievements in the field of artificial intelligence

In September 2025, Stanford University in the USA once again published its ranking, “The World Top 2% Scientists List.” This year's list includes the names of Ramiz Aliguliyev, Head of Department at the Institute of Information Technology and Corresponding Member of ANAS, and Fargana Abdullayeva, Associate Professor, Chief Researcher at the Institute, and Doctor of Philosophy in Technology.

The ranking list of the world's most influential scientists across various fields of science has been compiled annually since 2019, based on the previous year's data from the "Scopus" database by "Elsevier." This ranking list is prepared based on a composite indicator that combines several scientometric metrics, such as the number of citations, the scientists' Hirsch index, and others.

It should be recalled that Ramiz Aliguliyev, Corresponding Member of ANAS, has been included in “The World Top 2% Scientists List” in the field of artificial intelligence for the sixth consecutive year, starting from 2020.
