Training and Innovation Center (TIC) of the Institute of Information Technology (IIT) of ANAS launched the following courses for journalists within the framework of "Supporting the Development of Online Media 2014" project. The project is designed by Multimedia Center, Ministry of Communications and High Technology, IIT of ANAS, Nar Mobile and SINAM.
First, the President of Azerbaijan Internet Forum Osman Gunduz informed about "Online Media 2014" project. The key objective of the project is to assist the journalists to improve their professionalism in writing about the establishment of information society in the country, especially e-government, he said. The courses are conducted by ICT and media professionals as each year.
Curriculum of training courses includes opportunities for the effective use of social media, multimedia journalism, Internet advertising, mobile web and mobile technologies, online transparency and freedom of information, e-government and open government, cybercrime and related issues, he added.
Afterwards the head of TIC Rasmiyya Mahmudova made a report on the contribution of projects to the development of the information society in the country.
Note that the Online Media Contest for students, journalists, and bloggers continues, as well. The articles and tweets written by microbloggers for the competition shall be submitted until November 15.
The workshop will run until October 31, and the participants will be certified.
