At the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS, the next scientific seminar on Data Mining course, conducted on the basis of Data Mining: Concepts and Techniques” book was held. The seminar was devoted to the discussion of Chapter 5 of the book, "The Challenge Cube Technology".
The master student of the Institute, Shalala Mansurova, presented the report and provided information on the issues covered in this chapter. He said that the data cube is a network of cuboids. She talked about several optimization methods for effective calculation of data cube, cuboid types such as "apex", "full", "base" and "prediction", "multifeature".
"The data is also effective for search and data mining (analytical data analysis) along with the online analytical processing of multivariate queries," the reporter noted. S. Mansurova also mentioned the top-k query and said that it allowed the best result to be achieved depending on the user's choice. According to the speaker, in this case, users will determine the advantage of two components (selective condition and ranking function).
Sh. Mansurova gave information about methods "multiway", "star-cubing", "BUC" algorithm for calculation of cubes.
The reporter said that such indicators as SelfExp, InExp, and PathExp were used to determine the anomaly of the data and that the size of these indicators is based on the calculation of the remainder and equal to the difference in the value of the data box itself.
In the end, there was an exchange of views on the subject, many questions were answered. Doctor of technical sciences Ramiz Aliguliyev, correspondent member of ANAS, recommended further deepening of the research in this direction.
