At the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS the scientific seminar of department No.2 on the  "Some approaches to detection of fake profiles" was held.

Undergraduate student Khayala Ahmedova provided some insights into the detection of fake profiles and groups on social networks. She noted that the classes of features identified for detecting such profiles differ depending on the social media platform.

She talked about the proposed approaches for the detection of fake profiles used in machine learning methods and in software. She noted that with the increase in the number of users on social networks, it becomes increasingly difficult to classify them. 

The reporter noted that graph theory was used in the classification of fake profiles, and provided detailed information about the bases used to test graph-based signs and methods.
