At the Institute of Information Technologies of ANAS, the report of Department No. 18 for 2019 was discussed. The report was presented by the department head Anar Samidov. He also informed about research work carried out during the year. He noted that in the framework of the theme “Development of methods and algorithms for increasing the efficiency of advertising and marketing activities in the Internet environment”, methods and algorithms for increasing the efficiency of advertising and marketing activities in the Internet environment, effective methods of collecting data for advertising and marketing on the Internet were developed, Studies were conducted on the application of the feedback mechanism to sentiment analysis technologies and the development of an effective method.

The head of the department spoke about the work done on the topic "Prospects for the use and development of fractal graphics." He emphasized that this year, studies were carried out on the elements of fractal graphics and their use in modern architecture and construction, the scope of fractal graphics and perspectives, and the use of fractal geometry in computer design. He noted that in the direction of the topic “Transformation of information from virtual space into real space, 3D technology”, studies were conducted on the application and prospects of development of 3D printing technologies, the impact of 3D printing technologies on modern production and the application of 3D technologies in education.

Then A. Samidov spoke about the work carried out in the department as part of scientific and innovative activities. He noted that this year the department implemented such works as the development of corporate styles and creative design projects, adding photos and video materials to the “Multimedia Gallery”, collecting information about the world-famous scientist Lutfi Zade, compiling books, training materials, various printing products published by the staff of the institute, as well as practical work on the development of a graphical system of virtual reality, as well as 3D-graphics programs and other areas.

He also gave information on the scientific and pedagogical and scientific and organizational activities of the department, the publication of articles in famous scientific journals, the popularization of scientific and practical results in the media.

ANAS Vice-President, Director of the Institute, Academician Rasim Alguliyev voiced his suggestions and recommendations regarding the report of the department and emphasized the need to further strengthen the scientific activities of the department.
