The next scientific seminar of Department No. 8 was held at the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS.  the head of the department, Ph.D. in economics, associate professor Alovsat Aliyev informed about the development of models and mechanisms of "green" economic development, the development of a macroeconomic model of transition to a "green" economy, research development criteria for developing models of transition to this economy, the formation and assessment of the level of "green" economy.

He noted that the main models and mechanisms for developing a green economy are reducing the anthropogenic impact of the economy on the environment, increasing the efficiency of using natural resources, improving the regulatory framework for environmental risks in infrastructure projects and production processes, and assessing the results of a green economy .

Speaking about the development of a macroeconomic model of transition to a "green" economy, A.Aliyev said that researchers from the Lund University of Switzerland are working on a new model of reducing the world's major resources. He also presented the implementation of this model, stressed that these facts indicate the need for a gradual depletion of resources and the development of a macroeconomic model of transition to a new economy.

Then the employee of the department Leyla Akberova spoke. She spoke about the formation and assessment of the level of "green" economy, as well as about subindexes that influence the formation of the "green" economy index, about the development of basic indicators to calculate the reference index of the "green" economy.

Then A.Aliyev informed about the obtained final results. He emphasized the importance of the most efficient use of green economy technologies, the development of the non-oil sector through economic diversification, and the need to enrich the information economy through the use of high technologies.
