The next seminar of the Department of Information Technology of ANAS was held. Academician-secretary of ANAS, director of the institute, academician Rasim Alguliev said that the event was dedicated to the presentation of the Action Plan on "Establishment of Transliteration System” and the introduction of the initial version of the transliteration system on the " seminar.

Firstly, Sabina Mammadzadeh, Senior Researcher of the Institute introduced Action Plan on "Establishment of Transliteration System” in the framework of  Implementation of the tasks outlined in the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated May 23, 2012 "On the State Program on the use of Azerbaijani language in accordance with the requirements of time in the conditions of globalization and linguistic development in the country" signed by President Ilham Aliyev.

She noted that the Working Group was set up to implement the project. The study of the foreign experience to create a transliteration system based on international standards and the study of the current situation in the field of transliteration in Azerbaijan, reporter said.

According S. Mammadzadeh, the study of the conceptual and architectural basis of the Azerbaijani transliteration system, the development of the conceptual model of the system, the development of the web site "Transliterasiya", as well as the study of the features of the English, Russian, German and French graphics are also in the framework of the Action Plan.

Then, the programmer and the PhD student of the institute, Yusif Sadiyev, presented the system of transliteration, which is an open system that works in an online environment and noted that it would operate in Azerbaijani, English, Russian, French, German and Persian languages.

The speaker emphasized that translitirtion of texts into Azerbaijani, English, Russian, French, German, Persian and vice versa would transliterate any website in the mentioned languages as well: For this purpose, in the transliteration section of the site users should choose the language to transliterate, its address and the language to transliterate. "

He also noted that users can submit their comments and suggestions regarding transliteration in the forum section of the website.
