At the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS, the next seminar of Department № 3 was held.

Head of deprtment Tahmasib Fataliyev said that the seminar was dedicated to the topic of "Socientize" in the development of civil science.

Nargiz Verdiyeva, employee of the institute, presented the report and informed about its purpose, appointment, activity duration, projects and important statistical data.

Civil science is an innovative concept of involving a broad community into the scientific process, she emphasized.  The reporter said that participants in science contribute to science by sharing their intellectual skills and knowledge, as well as contributing to their digital tools and resources.

She spoke about online resources for civic science and drew attention to projects related to Socientize. She said that the European Union-funded project aims at developing a common forum for cooperation between e-infrastructure and civil society organizations. Socientize serves to bring together those who participate in the civilian science process by laying the foundation for a new open-ended science paradigm, she noted.
