An action plan of Department No 5 of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS for 2018 was discussed.  Head of Department Sayyar Abdullayev spoke about the work to be done to explore the scientific-theoretical problems of information technology and information society formation and to develop effective methods in the department.

The speaker informed the participants about the measures envisaged in the study of information technology terminology issues. He said that current scientific-theoretical problems of electronic terminology, methods of automatic selection of terminology will be investigated in the current year.

S. Abdullayev also pointed out the work done within the framework of scientific innovation and practical activities. According to him, it is planned to continue research on the selection, translation, classification, systematization, etymological origin and history of creation of the most up-to-date terms gathered in different directions of information technologies in 2018.

He also highlighted the work done during the current year in the department on scientific-pedagogical, scientific-organizational activities, participation in international and republican events, publication of articles in well-known scientific journals, preparation of books and manuals for different purposes, and promotion of scientific and practical results in mass media. .

Finally, discussions were held on the action plan of the department, a number of proposals were recommended.
