At the meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS, the head of department No. 8, PhD in economics, associate professor Alovsat Aliyev presented the action plan of the department for 2018 headed by him. He said that the research work will be implemented in 4 aspects.

According to him,  the scientific-theoretical problems of information economy and formation of its main sectors will be investigated, theses on the theme "Investigation of problems of formation of information economy sectors and evaluation of innovative perspectives" and "Development of models and methods for the organization and functioning of technology parks" will be presented.

A.Aliyev noted that the department is planning to study the system of hierarchical indicators on the formation of the information economy and its key sectors and evaluation of innovation development level, the multidimensional correlation of factors affecting the formation of the information economy's composite index. He also said that the development of the fundamentals of the methodology for the development of the green economy is also planned.

The reporter said that the development of general principles of modeling of innovative production processes in technoparks, establishment of a multi-factor regeneration model of innovative products / services in technoparks (econometric model) was also considered as scientific-practical work.

Speaking about the scientific and innovation activities of the department, this year department will participate in implementation of the relevant paragraphs related to the information economy and innovation activity of the institute in state programs. The Department plans to participate in work on transition to digital environment reflected in Action Plan on the "Strategic Road Map on Development of Telecommunication and Information Technologies in the Republic of Azerbaijan" (2016) and the "Strategic Road Map on Telecommunications and Information Technologies Development in the Republic of Azerbaijan".

The publication of articles of department’s staff in scientific journals in 2018 and the development of international cooperation are the main targets, Mr.Aliyev noted.
