The Institute of Information Technology of ANAS held the entrance exams on PhD studies in 2017/2018. 1 applicant on the specialty "System Analysis, Management and Information Processing", 1applicant on "Information Security Techniques and Systems, Information Security" and 1 applicant on "Computer Science" specialty attended exam.

An exam commission was established at the institute to conduct PhD examination. Academician-secretary of ANAS, director of the Institute of Information Technology, academician Rasim Alguliev was a chairman of Commission, corresponding member of ANAS, doctor of technical sciences, professor Masuma Mammadova, corresponding member of ANAS, doctor of technical sciences Ramiz Aliguliyev, PhD, associate professor Yadigar Imamverdiyev, scientific secretary of the institute Medina Saidova and PhD Farhad Yusifov were memebers of Comission.
