On April 27, by organization of International Relations Office of ANAS Presidium, “Thomson Reuters” Agency has held an educational workshop at the Central Scientific Library on topic “Web of Science” data platform as a science metric data source”.

The workshop aimed to make acquainted scientist and specialists of scientific institutions of ANAS with opportunities and key elements of data platform “Web of science”, information resources related to, including publication rules of articles on the modern international academic journals.

At the event, Vice-President of ANAS Academician Ibrahim Guliyev reminded signing the agreement of cooperation between ANAS and “Thomson Reuters” Agency in October 2016. Academician stated that, within the agreement, scientific institutions of ANAS can use opportunities of “Web of Science” data platform and up today 14 thousand workshops have been held.

Then, delegate of “Thomson Reuters” Agency on CIS countries Valentin Bogorov made a presentation on “Web of Science” data platform as a science metric data source”. V.Bogorov noted that, platform includes 18 thousand academic journals and 13 thousand of them are of impact factor.

Efficient use methods from “Web of Science” web-site were visually displayed in the workshop.
