The closing ceremony of the Republican conference titled “Current Problems in Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics” was held at the Institute of Information Technology of the Ministry of Science and Education.
Vice-President of ANAS, Director of the Institute of Information Technology of the Ministry of Science and Education, Academician Rasim Alguliyev, in his speech, noted that the reports presented during the sectional sessions covered important issues such as the scientific and technological challenges of cybersecurity and digital forensics, in line with the goals and objectives of the conference. Evaluating the presented research works highly, the academician emphasized that the conference served as an important platform for discussing existing scientific-theoretical and practical problems in this field, identifying new research directions, and shaping innovative solution approaches.
Academician Rasim Alguliyev highlighted the importance of further expanding cooperation among government bodies, scientific institutions, and the private sector in the field of cybersecurity and digital forensics in the future, as well as strengthening the training of highly qualified specialists. He expressed confidence that the continued organization of such scientific-practical events would make a significant contribution to strengthening the country’s cybersecurity and cyber sovereignty.
Emphasizing that the conference served as an important scientific platform for discussing multidisciplinary problems in the field of cybersecurity and digital forensics, the scientist noted that a total of 96 reports were presented across four sections.
Then, the chairs of the sectional sessions delivered speeches, stating that the reports presented at the conference created conditions for a broad discussion of scientific-theoretical, technological, political-legal, and organizational issues such as ensuring the security of state information systems in the context of modern cyber threats, the examination of digital evidence, combating cybercrime, and strengthening resilience in cyberspace within the framework of “Current Issues in Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics.” They noted that the event holds significant scientific-practical importance in terms of exchanging views on current issues in cybersecurity and digital forensics, identifying existing problems, and discussing directions for their resolution.
At the end, the draft resolution of the conference was presented to the participants.
