Irada Alakbarova, Chief Researcher at the Institute of Information Technology of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and PhD in Technology, was a guest on Baku TV’s “Current Agenda” program.

The program featured extensive discussions on combating disinformation on the Wikipedia virtual encyclopedia and ensuring information security. It also addressed mechanisms for rewarding volunteers to encourage their activities, along with other related issues.

In her speech, Irada Alakbarova emphasized that Wikipedia is an important platform reflecting the intellectual and cultural level of each society. She noted that in the modern era, this resource has become not only a source of information but also one of the main tools in information warfare.
