Afruz Gurbanova, senior researcher of the institute, spoke on Baku TV – VIDEO

Afruz Gurbanova, senior researcher of the Institute of Information Technology of the Ministry of Science and Education and PhD in Technical Sciences, joined Baku TV’s “Aktual Gündəm” (“Current Agenda”) program via video link.

In the program dedicated to the topic “How should we protect the national language in the era of globalization?”, Afruz Gurbanova provided information on the measures implemented by the Institute of Information Technology for the development and preservation of the national language. She noted that, within the framework of the concept for forming the National Terminological Information System, a special web portal had been created by the Institute’s specialists, a unified database of existing terms in the fields of science and technology had been developed, and it had been made available for public use.

A. Gurbanova noted that significant work has also been carried out at the institute on the development of a transliteration system, emphasizing that this system serves to ensure a more accurate and standardized representation of the Azerbaijani language in the global information space.
