A scientific session will be held on the topic "Current scientific-theoretical and practical problems of ensuring state cyber sovereignty"

A seminar-consultation was held in preparation for the scientific session on the topic "Current scientific-theoretical and practical problems of ensuring state cyber sovereignty," which is planned to take place in December of this year at the Institute of Information Technology of the Ministry of Science and Education.

In his speech at the meeting, Academician Rasim Alguliyev, the Vice-President of ANAS and Director General of the institute, emphasized that ensuring sovereignty in cyberspace, against the backdrop of modern-day challenges, is a crucial component of every state's security.

Emphasizing that President Ilham Aliyev paid special attention to artificial intelligence, digitalization, and cybersecurity during his speech at the 80th anniversary event of ANAS, the scientist highlighted that these areas have now become the key priorities in Azerbaijan's scientific and technological development strategy.

The Vice-President of ANAS stated that identifying, detecting, and eliminating internal and external threats to the cyber sovereignty of a digital state has become highly relevant in the modern era and noted that targeted research on various issues of cyber sovereignty has been initiated at the Institute of Information Technology.

Academician Rasim Alguliyev stated that the scientific session dedicated to the "Year of Constitution and Sovereignty" and the International Information Security Day will serve as an important platform for discussing the preliminary results of scientific research on cyber sovereignty and conceptual perspectives in this field.

Subsequently, an extensive discussion was held on the proposed topics for the scientific session on "Current scientific-theoretical and practical issues of ensuring state cyber sovereignty," and suggestions were put forward.
