Academician Rasim Alguliyev discussed artificial intelligence and digitalization on ARB TV – VIDEO

A phone connection was established with Academician Rasim Alguliyev, Vice President of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) and Director of the Institute of Information Technology of the Ministry of Science and Education, during the “Guna doghru” program aired on ARB TV.

During the program dedicated to the topic “Artificial intelligence and digitalization—are we meeting the requirements of the modern era?”, Academician Rasim Alguliyev emphasized that President Ilham Aliyev, in his speech at the 80th anniversary event of ANAS, paid particular attention to issues related to artificial intelligence (AI) and digitalization and assigned new tasks to the scientific community. The Vice President of ANAS, on behalf of the Azerbaijani scientific community, thanked President Ilham Aliyev for his high level of attention and care towards science and education. He noted that, over the past 80 years, Azerbaijani scientists have carried out significant work in the development of the national economy, industry, and agriculture; the exploitation of surface resources; the formation of the oil and gas industry; providing scientific support for the establishment of chemical plants in the country; and other related fields.

Academician R. Alguliyev stated that "the development of AI is one of the main priority areas of Azerbaijan's domestic and foreign policy" and spoke about the measures being taken in this field in the country.
