Academician Rasim Alguliyev gave a master class for SABAH students

A meeting was held with SABAH students studying at various universities across the country at the Institute of Information Technology under the Ministry of Science and Education (MSE) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, an initiative of the MSE State Agency for Science and Higher Education. The meeting was attended by leading scholars and specialists from the Institute of Information Technology, responsible representatives of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education, SABAH groups, and other relevant individuals.

During the meeting, Academician Rasim Alguliyev, Vice-President of ANAS and Director General of the Institute, conducted a master class for students specializing in "Computer Science," "Information Security," "Computer Engineering," "Information Technologies," and other relevant fields.

Academician Rasim Alguliyev first gave the youth detailed information on the history of the Institute of Information Technology, its main areas of activity, implemented scientific and innovative projects, and research conducted in priority areas serving the state's strategic interests. He stated that the Institute conducts research in the fields of artificial intelligence, data science, software engineering, natural language processing, cyber-physical systems, digital government, digital medicine, cybersecurity, deep learning, and big data analytics, with articles on significant scientific results being published in prestigious international journals. He noted that the Institute actively participates in the implementation of state programs, strategies, roadmaps, and other important state documents.

The Director General of the Institute emphasized the necessity of organizing close cooperation between the country's scientific institutions and higher education establishments in order to implement the tasks arising from the relevant Decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev on improving management in the field of science and education.

"One of the main tasks of science is the distribution of advanced knowledge, its transfer to education, the training of intellectual human resources to meet modern requirements, and simultaneously supporting the development of the national economy," the scientist emphasized.

Then, the meeting continued in a dialogue format with the students. Academician Rasim Alguliyev answered numerous questions that interested the youth.

The scientist shared his opinions and views with the students regarding existing realities, new trends, and implemented state policy in our country within the context of global trends such as artificial intelligence, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and the transformation of the Internet.

Academician Rasim Alguliyev stated that new professions are emerging due to the gradual change in the nature of the labor market, leading to an increasing demand for highly qualified personnel and innovative youth in the fields of software engineering, computer engineering, data science, data engineering, cybersecurity, and digital forensics. The scientist called on students to constantly enhance their knowledge and experience and engage in scientific activities, noting that the institute is always ready to provide support in this direction.
