Chinese manufacturer Vivo officially announced the Vivo X5 Max, an uber-thin smartphone that measures just 0.15in (3.98mm) at its thinnest point and 0.18in (4.75mm) at its chubbiest. With no doubt, this is the world's thinnest smartphone in official existence.
Vivo literally cut many corners to accomplish its ambitions. It designed a motherboard that's only 0.067in (1.7mm) thick, used an exceptionally thin screen assembly that measures just 0.05in (1.36mm), and stuck "the world's thinnest speaker box" at 0.09in (2.45mm) inside. This is made even more impressive by the fact that the Vivo X5 Max somehow retains a dual-SIM slot and a 3.5mm headphone jack at such constraints.
