The condition of the innovative startup ecosystem discussed

The scientific seminar "Status and features of the formation of innovative startup ecosystems" was held at the Department of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS.

The head of the department, Ph.D., Associate Professor Alovsat Aliyev, explained the essence of startups, their designation, features and current state of the startup ecosystem and informed about the "Azerbaijan Startup Ecosystem"  platform(www.startupazerbaijan.az) and "Startup Azerbaijan" (www.startup. az)  project.

The speaker spoke about innovation and high technology structures based on scientific and technological achievements and their main objectives.

High Technology Parks is an area with the necessary infrastructure, material and technical resources and management structures to conduct scientific research and development activities, develop or improve innovation products and high technologies, he noted.

The head of the department then spoke about the features of the innovation environment (Science-Education-Business Triangle) and the EnterpriseAzerbaijan.com portal platform, which was created to support the startup ecosystem.

He noted that in May 2019, the next workshop on “ICT innovation and startup ecosystems” was held in Baku as part of the Adapting to the Digital Era of the Eastern Partnership (HDM).
