As part of its five-year AI for Health program, Microsoft will provide companies, nonprofits and academics with access to artificial intelligence technologies to solve critical medical problems.

Microsoft has announced the launch of its five-year AI for Health program, which has been investing $ 40 million in artificial intelligence (AI) technology for the healthcare industry over five years. The initiative will allow companies, non-profit organizations and scientists to gain access to AI tools, cloud computing and other necessary resources, including cash grants.

The main aspects and principles on which the program will focus:

Research activity. The company will assist scientists in research and provide the necessary resources to enable doctors to more accurately diagnose, prescribe treatment and prevent disease. Dangerous diseases that can be investigated using artificial intelligence include, but are not limited to, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), diabetic retinopathy, and many others.

Analytics. Microsoft will facilitate a global exchange of information to increase global understanding of the factors of longevity and mortality. In doing so, Microsoft will pay particular attention to the confidentiality of medical data.

Compliance with the principles of equality. The company intends to support the elimination of health inequalities in order to provide access to medical care for people in developing countries.

The initiative is part of the AI ​​for Good project, in which the company invests $ 165 million. It is aimed at solving the most complex problems of society with the help of artificial intelligence, nanonewsnet.ru  reports.
