The article is devoted to the multidisciplinary challenges of applying Big Data in the oil and gas industry. The application of Big Data and wearable devices to the oil and gas industry is a great asset to the industry. Reducing the risks of operating Big Data technologies, forecasting crude oil prices, optimizing oil wells, ensuring health and safety in the organization, eliminating environmental problems and more. investigated the possibilities of applying them to the solution of problems.
In the article, Big data analytics sources such as Google Glass, smartwatches, biometric smartwear, camera clip, Kinect, Google now and wearable sensors are explained.
The article is based on a research project funded by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) Science Fund's Big Data Analysis Technology for Oil and Gas Industry (October 15, 2014 - October 15, 2016).
