Russian scientists have created a "smart" chair to correct posture in schoolchildren

Now the student’s posture will be in control. The authors of the development called the “smart” chair were scientists from the South Ural State University. The sensors with which it was equipped distinguish the pose of a person sitting on a chair and signal if he is sitting carelessly.

With the help of this new product it is possible to develop correct posture from a young age. Subsequently, this will prevent various diseases. According to the press service of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, there is nothing like this in the world.

Among other things, it is reported that in appearance it looks like ordinary chairs. The difference is only in the presence of sensors, which according to a person’s posture determine whether he is sitting correctly and warn him if not. The advantages of the “smart” chair include the fact that it has the ability to determine pathologies that are associated with the musculoskeletal system.

According to planet-today.ru, sensors transmit all the information received to the mobile phone of the parent of the child or teacher. Data transfer can be arranged using Wi-fi or Bluetooth. As for teachers, they will be able to track the position of each student on their monitor.

As the creators of the novelty, incorrect posture often speaks of all kinds of health problems. There are certain factors that are responsible for the incorrect posture of the child when he is sitting. These include the following: a turn of the pelvis as a result of an injury, flat feet or the fact that one leg is shorter than the other. All this can be diagnosed at an early stage and the doctor will give appropriate recommendations to prevent the development of the disease.
