The beginning of the new year was marked by the launch of a new digital service from Azercell Telekom, which is an essential link in the multiphase process of digitalization of society and digital financial inclusion. So, starting from January 8, 2020, the Mobile Payment service, prepared by the leader of the country's mobile market in partnership with PASHA Bank and the Information and Computing Center under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of Azerbaijan, will be available to all Azercell subscribers of the non-cash line (SimSim).
The new service was developed in accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the “State Program for the Expansion of Digital Payments” and will allow subscribers to make payment transactions using mobile phones without using cash. The service with convenient and intuitive features can be used on any GSM smartphone.
At the first stage, the service will allow Azercell (SimSim) non-production line subscribers to make payments for such utilities as water, electricity, heating, as well as for communication services like E-Imza, AzDataCom, Catel and Azeronline.
Subscribers of the non-oil line will be able to use this service using the KABINETIM mobile application from Azercell. To activate this service when registering in the KABINETIM application, certain conditions must be accepted by signing the corresponding electronic agreement.
It should be added that the use of the service is possible if there is more than 3 AZN on the balance of the number. The one-time maximum payment is set at 50 AZN, while the minimum payment is determined by the service provider. Also, the total amount of payment for one month should not exceed 500 AZN.
Note that the platform between the bank and the mobile operator, developed by the Information and Computing Center under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, in the near future will increase the number of services under this project, creating favorable conditions for using a wider range of services.
Speaking about the importance of the Mobile Payment service, President of Azercell Telekom Vahid Mursaliev noted: “Expanding the range of innovative products in the era of a new connection, we aim to facilitate the daily household processes and business operations of all our subscribers by providing even more affordable, convenient and fast digital solutions. The Mobile Payment service is one of the most important steps towards building a digital society of the future. ”
“Developing the concept of a“ digital ”bank, over the past few years, PASHA Bank has been actively introducing new online products and services on the market, developed jointly with customers to meet their business needs. This decision may become popular among customers of financial instruments, which will make a significant contribution to the increase in non-cash payments in the country. PASHA Bank, as one of the leading banks in the country, will actively contribute to the development of mobile financial services in Azerbaijan, providing customers with the full demand for these services, ”said Javid Guliyev, Deputy Chairman of the Board, Chief Commercial Officer of PASHA Bank.
The Mobile Payment service is a digital solution offering financial services on the basis of cooperation between the bank and mobile networks.
