In Finland, it is believed that every EU citizen should have the opportunity to continue lifelong learning, regardless of age or level of education. Finland offers EU citizens a free online course “Elements of Artificial Intelligence”.
Finland ends its tenure as President of the Council of the European Union by starting next year with a series of free online courses in all the official languages of the EU.
“Our investments have three goals: we want EU citizens to have the opportunity to acquire digital skills for the future; we want to improve the practical understanding of what artificial intelligence is, and thereby want to strengthen the digital leadership of Europe, ”said Finnish Labor Minister Timo Harakka.
This initiative seeks to address the challenges of transforming today's work, as well as strengthening the digital leadership of the European Union, goodnewsfinland.com reports.
“The value of artificial intelligence is growing. To use these features, we need digital skills. Changes in labor markets, job transformation, digitalization and increased global competition - all these processes mean one thing for the EU: we must invest in people, ”said Harakka.
