Researchers at the University of Wiss at Harvard have introduced a new 3D printer that can print objects from eight different materials and switch between them 50 times per second.
Most commercial printers can create objects from only one material. At the same time, extrusion 3D printing allows you to create objects from several materials, but this process is very long - it can take up to 10 days to print a small object.
According to hightech.fm, the device also has several Y-shaped links to quickly change ink.
Researchers note that Since MM3D printing is very fast, you can use materials whose properties change over time - for example, epoxy resins, silicone, polyurethane or bio-paint.
