Samsung showed the concept of a flexible clamshell smartphone

Samsung, a South Korean company, at a developer conference showed the concept of a smartphone with a flexible display that folds like a clamshell mobile phone. A short video with the device was posted on YouTube.

The company noted that this approach will make it possible to compact an ordinary smartphone - when folded, the device fits in any pocket. About the possible characteristics of the gadget and the approximate timing of the sale of a commercial version of such a smartphone has not yet been reported.

Note that on November 13, the presentation of Motorola’s flexible smartphone is due to take place. According to rumors, the device will become the heir to the famous clamshell RAZR V3 and will look about the same as the Samsung concept demonstrated.

Recall, its first smartphone with a flexible display, Samsung introduced in February this year. Samsung Galaxy Fold was supposed to go on sale in April, but in the end it entered the market only in September, as the company's engineers had to modify the device due to breakdowns of test samples.
