DJI's new Mavic Mini is a palm-sized device. It is so light that it does not require registration with the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

This drone weighs only 249 grams - the company has made the maximum possible weight, since devices weighing 250 grams or more require FAA registration. Therefore, as DJI noted, “Mavic Mini owners can start using the drone without bureaucratic delays.” The maximum flight time of the Mavic Mini is 30 minutes, it will cost about $ 495.

The Mavic Mini has a 2.7K camera. This is an order of magnitude smaller than 4K resolution on the Mavic Air and Mavic Pro models. But, as the media suggested, a better camera could interfere with sales of other company drones.
