Prospects of fractal geometry in computer design studied

The next scientific seminar of Department No. 18 was held at the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS. Speaking at the seminar, the head of the department of the institute, Anar Samidov, presented a report on the topic "Prospects for fractal geometry in computer design." He said that “fractal graphics” is one of the most common computer graphic directions, and its mathematical basis is taken from fractal geometry.

The speaker noted that among many aspects of design, one can single out its huge areas, such as industrial design, interiors or architecture. According to him, industrial design is an area of artistic and technical design, the purpose of which is to determine the structural and functional characteristics of industrial products, as well as their appearance. He said that industrial design, as an activity, includes elements of art, marketing and technology.

In conclusion, the head of the department, based on examples, presented works of art that reflect fractals in the design of furniture and folk art.
