Chinese scientists from Fudan University (Shanghai) and the Changchun Institute of Optics, Precision Mechanics and Physics at the Chinese Academy of Sciences have developed a "super camera" with a resolution of 500 megapixels. She is able to capture and recognize the faces of people in the crowd in detail. China will use the camera for "national defense" and "public security."
It is reported that the camera can take panoramic pictures with incredible image quality. So that all the faces in the crowd will be clearly visible. The system will transmit data about them to the cloud, so you can quickly find a specific target.
The camera will be used at military bases, platforms for launching satellites, in border protection.
Experts, of course, evaluated the invention negatively. In their opinion, it will help the state violate the right of residents to privacy.
