Apple has suspended the Siri voice assistant quality control program, through which some third-party developers have access to some users' requests. This is written by TechCrunch.
Third-party contractors could listen to no more than 1% of voice requests in a few seconds. The main goal of this project was to improve the quality of Siri's speech recognition, but users really did not like that they could listen to their messages.
Earlier, Guardian, citing one of Apple's contractors, wrote that Siri can independently record confidential information, such as data on drug purchases or sex.
Now iOS device users will be able to restrict Siri access and prohibit sending their voice data for quality control.
The Bell notes that Yandex also collects voice message data from its Alice assistant. In this case, the processing takes place in anonymous form.
