Training on EduGAIN services launched at the Institute

On July 1, within the framework of the EapConnect project of the  GEANT, at the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS, training on the  "Establishment and development of the Identification Federation” was started for  AzScienceNet staff. The trainings are being conducted by the specialists of the LITNET Research and Education network of Lithuania - Eimantas Serpenskas, Vilius Palubinskas and Eustace Umbrasas. 

At the beginning of the training, they discussed the current situation in this sphere, proposed architecture, the EduGAIN and EduRoam services, the architecture and standards of the federation, and the equipment and tools used to install these systems.

Then a presentation on the topic “Architectural Solutions. EduGAIN and EduRoam ” delivered by Eimantas Serpenskas. He gave detailed information about the LITNET research and education network.

E. Serpenkas presented a list of the necessary equipment for installing EduGAIN, highlighting the resources necessary for using EduRoam.

He also informed about the possibilities of the EduGAIN service and said that this service is the largest cooperation project between the European National Research and Education Network (NREN) prepared within the framework of the EapConnect project of GEANTand the European Union.

Note that the trainings will continue until July 5th.
