Watcom Group, specializing in analyzing visitor flows in shopping centers and stores, in partnership with the creator of the FindFace algorithm by NtechLab, will develop face recognition technology for marketplaces. With its help it will be possible, in particular, to receive information about the age, sex, behavior and emotions of customers.
According to the Kommersant resource, Watcom Group and NtechLab have signed a cooperation agreement with the goal of creating a solution for gathering information from shopping centers and retailers based on the FindFace face recognition technology.
According to Mikhail Burmistrov, general director of Infoline-Analytics, the development of a solution can do, depending on the level and accuracy of data collection, from 30 to 100 million rubles. The base cost of the solution for a small shopping center or a hypermarket can be 15 million rubles.
The FindFace technology is already used in a web service that allows users to find the pages of the VKontakte social network users by their photo. Also, a solution based on it was applied to ensure security during the 2018 World Cup.
