The staff of the Institute visited Azerbaijan Carpet Museum

On March 7, 50 staff members of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS visited the "Azerbaijan Carpet Museum" jointly organized by theWomen's  Board and Trade Union Committee.

During the excursion, the Institute staff gave detailed information about the museum fund enriched by material and cultural resources of the country as a result of numerous scientific expeditions conducted in different regions of Azerbaijan.

It was noted that the museum has rich and diverse Azerbaijani carpets, carpet products and other types of folk art. In the museum fund, 10139 pieces of the exhibit are stored which incorporates seven collections, such as "Flat-woven Carpets," "Pile Carpets", "Carpet Products", "Art Metal", "Ceramics, Glass, Wood, Paper", "Fabric, Costumes, Embroidery" and "Jewelry".

The museum has a bronze and antique history, a rarity of early medieval artifacts and a large part of the collections belong to the 17th-20th centuries.
