Since 2020, Apple plans to completely eliminate the use of LCD (liquid crystal) screens in smartphones and switch to more modern OLED displays.
This was reported by The Wall Street Journal on Tuesday, January 22.
It is noted that the transition to OLED devices (based on organic light-emitting diodes) will make it possible to achieve a “more flexible smartphone design”.
Now the iPhone XR has a larger frame around the display, compared to its competitors on OLED devices.
January 11, it became known that Apple will introduce three new iPhone models in the fall of 2019. One of them will be equipped with a triple rear camera, the other two will be the usual dual cameras.
