The Earth System Numerical Simulator (ESNS) project will be implemented in Beijing’s Miyun district.
This will allow a quantitative description and modeling of the Earth system, which will help to deepen the understanding of the laws of the development of the atmosphere, hydrosphere, cryosphere and biosphere, as well as the interaction between them, said Zhu Jiang, director of the Institute of Atmospheric Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
It is noted that work on the creation of the project infrastructure started in August last year. In the Miyun district, north of the center of the Chinese capital, sites will be created for research on ecology, environment, climate change and resource development.
