The Institute of Information Technology of ANAS held a scientific seminar dedicated to the theme "Formation of citizen science and its impact on the development of science".
Presenting the report, which was co-authored by Head of Department Tahmasib Fataliyev and employee of department Nargiz Verdiyeva gave detailed information on the formation of citizen science, bibliometric analysis of resources, influence on the fields of science, as well as the study of innovative opportunities in the field of environmental issues.

N.Verdiyeva talked about the most popular civic projects, presented the results of the bibliometric analysis of civilian sources in different bases. She also informed about the dynamics of growth of civilian scientific resources on the basis of Web of Science (WoS), distribution of scientific resources on generalized science, the number of resources in specific science fields in WoS, statistical data on the distribution of scientific resources by countries.
In the end, the reporter noted that the number of scientific information on citizen science in the world is rising, and it is more commonly used in global science and environmental science.
