Scientific-theoretical and practical issues of e-science were discussed at Ankara University

On June 25-30, 2018, head of department  No. 13 of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS, correspondent member of ANAS, doctor of technical sciences Ramiz Aliguliyev and head of department No. 3 Tahmasib Fataliyev, were on scientific journey in Ankara for discussion of Scientific Results of the Grant Project "Development of New Methods and Algorithms for the Synthesis of Electronic Science and Its Functional Subsystems", the winner of complex research programs submitted by the Science Development Foundation  under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2014  and for the purpose of establishing cooperation.

Within the framework of the visit, a number of meetings were held with the head of department, Professor Iman Askerzade and department’s staff at the Department of Computer Engineering at Ankara University Faculty of Engineering.  Prof. Sahin Amrah, Dr. Yilmaz Ar, Dr. Mehmet Serdar Güzel and others gave detailed information about Ankara University, its structure, history of establishment, as well as activities of Computer Engineering Department, achievements and perspectives in the field of electronic science.

At the meeting reports were heard on activity of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS. The reports provided detailed information about the scientific directions of the institute, the scientific projects and international relations. The scientific and technological activities of the Institute in the field of electronic science, AzScienceNet network, Data Center and network services provided by e-science were mentioned. Discussions were held on e-science research, grant projects and results.

At the end of the meeting, both sides expressed their interest in joint scientific cooperation. It was proposed to hold further meetings for further acceleration of cooperation and preparation of a joint research plan.
