EaPConnect project manager: "There are great opportunities for Azerbaijan to join European projects”

EaPConnect project manager Maria Minaricova and head of the Estonian Music Academy Paolo Girol, recently attended the meeting on "The role of GEANT network in integration of science and education into Europe" at the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS, gave an interview to www.ict.az.

M.Minaricova highly appreciated the innovative conditions created in the institute, especially the AzScienceNet network. The guest noted that great opportunities for joining European science and education projects were crteated forAzerbaijan, as well as the Institute of Information Technology. She said that they were interested in the continuation of joint cooperation and urged our country to be more involved in GEANT projects and become part of the organization's activities. We support future projects to be implemented together. Azerbaijan should continue to build new partnerships and join new projects.  For this purpose, the new content and the most up-to-date technologies will be applied, which will require the education and science community to join. "

M.Minaricova noted that Azerbaijan should make more initiatives to join the new projects. She invited scientists and specialists of our country to participate in a cyber security seminar, recently organized by GEANT. She said that although Azerbaijan is currently represented at such events, it is expedient to attract more employees to new projects in the future. According to her, such events open up great opportunities for sharing knowledge and exchanging experiences.

Paolo Girol, Head of the Department of Music Academy of Estonia, expressed his pleasure to be in our country. During the visit he noted the opportunity to get acquainted with the Baku Music Academy and expressed his confidence that the introduction of the LOLA audio visual streaming system in this academy would give positive results. At present, more than 120 institutes around the world use LOLA technology, the guest said.He added that the Baku Music Academy can make music lessons, lectures and concerts through these technologies.
