Scientists of the Institute are co-authors of the book published under international cooperation

A book titled " Optimizing E-Participation Initiatives Through Social Media" by Laura Alcaide-Munoz and Francisco Jose Alcaraz-Quiles, the Spanish Granada University, was published at IGI Global Publishing House, one of the world's most reputable publishers.

Optimizing E-Participation Initiatives Through Social Media provides emerging research on the role of online web technologies in promoting citizen and community involvement in public affairs. While highlighting topics such as online transaction, participatory design, and e-polling, this publication explores the use of Web 2.0 by governments to create more affordable, participatory, and transparent public-sector management models. This book is an important resource for academicians, practitioners, and researchers seeking current research on online public involvement in government policy decision making.

Co-authors of Chapter II of the book "The Role and Impact of Social Media in E-Government" are Academician-Secretary of ANAS, Director of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS, academician Rasim Alguliev  and head of department, PhD, Associate Professor Farhad Yusifov.

The chapter reviews such issues in the presence of the goal of building mutual communication between government bodies and citizens, the role of social media in building feedback between e-government and citizens, the use of social media in e-government, and the transformation of administrative mechanisms.

It should be noted that this work has been carried out within the framework of a grant project funded by the Science Development Fund under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (Grant No. EIF-KETPL-2-2015-1 (25) -56 / 05/1).
