Scientific seminar on "Mobile electronic signature scheme based on cloud technologies" held

15 March 2018 - 10:18 | Conferences, assemblies

The next scientific seminar on topic "Mobile e- signature scheme based on cloud technologies" was held at the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS.

Habib Abbasov, a PhD student at the institute, said that cloud technologies provide broad opportunities for citizens to ensure safe and comfortable use of electronic services. He pointed out that the notion of "mobile e-signature" in scientific literature is not only an e-signature on mobile phones, but also a broader concept.

The speaker gave detailed information on the components of the national e-signature infrastructure and their functions, apparatus and software, as well as the legal framework. According to him, the issue of improving the e-signature infrastructure as a system of valid authentication of the parties through e-services, the transition to the new development phase of the e-government, the development of the IV industrial revolution and the e-signature interaction are on the rise. H. Abbasov presented a detailed description of the important scientific research problems in this area.

He also noted that by using cloud technologies, mobility of information technologies, including electronic signature, can be provided on larger platforms. H.Abbasov analyzed the experience of developed countries on the realization of mobile e-signature based on cloud technologyies and emphasized that most of the solutions were created for a specific legislative and specific identification system (for example, a specific national eID system): "The application of such solutions in other countries is significant, requires additional costs ".

The speaker pointed out the conceptual model proposed by him - the e-signature service ("Signature as a Service", SaaS) based on cloud technologies and a server-based e-signature scheme. The scheme consists of a few specific information sharing steps between the sender-server and the server-domain and is performed using the elliptical curves cryptography. The basic calculations are performed on the server side. In addition, both the sender and the receiver are unable to refuse the signature.

"The proposed scheme compared to traditional e-signature schemes is more efficient in terms of volume and communication costs. The proposed scheme has also been assessed against a number of specific attacks, "the reporter said.

At the end, discussions were held around the lecture, and many questions were answered. PhD, Associate Professor, Head of Department Yadigar Imamverdiyev made a number of suggestions and recommendations on the future research of the PhdD student.
