The DAAD program creates extensive opportunities for researchers

Next scientific seminar was held at the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS. The representative of Baku Information Center of German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)- Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst, Hikmet Kamalli gave information about the DAAD Scholarship Program, its perspectives, and the opportunities created for students.

The speaker said that DAAD is a joint body of German universities supported by Germany. Its main task is to help students and scholars exchange with foreigners.

H.Kamalli noted that the DAAD network is represented in more than 60 countries by 15 foreign representations, 56 data centres and more than 500 lecturers and linguists. He has been acting as a local lecturer in Azerbaijan since 1997 and has been a member of the DAAD global network since 2004 as the Baku Data Center.

The reporter also informed about DAAD scholarships for Azerbaijan. According to him, there is a DAAD scholarship for students and alumni for summer language courses, design, art, architecture and ERP- Master for all specialities, specialization in work experience and development policy. He also talked about research fellowships for doctoral students and young scholars, research fellowships for experienced scholars and university teachers.

At the event, discussions were held on implementation of joint projects, exchange of staff and experience in the organization of continuous activities with the relevant research institutes of the two countries and learning German experience.
