 A scientific seminar of the Department No.13 on the discussion of the book "Data Clustering. Algorithms and Applications“ was held at the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS.

The magistrate of the Institute, Shalala Mansurova, gave detailed information on the introduction of the first part of the book, the basic concepts, various clustering algorithms and visualization issues.

Commenting on the problem of intellectual analysis of data and the clustering of data in machine learning, Sh.Mansurova noted the main methods used in cluster analysis. He said that these methods include the method of decreasing the size, the method based on the distance, the method of the grid method, and so on. includes.

"The diversity of data types in the cluster analysis is one of the key factors influencing the selection of the clustering algorithm," said the reporter, pointing out that the classification methods of different types (category, discrete, multimedia, indefinite, etc.) were also investigated.

At the end of the lecture, the views were exchanged, questions were answered. Doctor of technical sciences Ramiz Aliguliyev, the scientific director, corresponding member of ANAS, emphasized the importance of studying the data clustering issues and made recommendations for further deepening of research.
