It is known that in recent years, complex measures have been undertaken in the direction of the development of science and promotion of scientists in the international arena. In today's research, it is one of the most important issues to know the English language to use influential scientific bases, magazines, get acquainted with the world experience and engage in more effective scientific activities.

Academician Akif Alizadeh, the President of ANAS, attached great importance to the teaching of English in his organization and set important tasks for the organization of foreign language courses in front of institutions and organizations. A number of measures are being taken at the Institute of Information Technology for implementing these tasks.

A scientific seminar on "English websites for learners" ("Web sites for those who want to study English") has been held today at the Institute's Training Innovation Center. A colleague of the Center, Ilaha Ismayilzadeh, stated that there are numerous Internet resources available in English that teach various features. She gave information about LinguaLeo and Puzzle English sites as an example. She noted that on such sites, individual tasks are sent daily to the user's email address in order to enable the teaching process to be effective. It is possible to look up words and phrases in the resources, read grammar, read articles in English, listen to songs, and watch videos accompanied by parallel text.

Providing information about the DuoLingo website, Ismayilzade noted that this Internet resource is one of the most popular language courses in the world and is a universal site for beginners. Playing here in the form of games allows you to get more effective results and to quickly understand exercises.

She also gave information about EngVid, BBC Learning English, British Council, MyEnglishTeacher and others as an example of English-speaking sites. She noted that these sites are primarily intended for those who have certain language skills. For example, EngVid provides English language videos with professional teachers.

I.Ismayilzadeh also informed about BBC Learning English and British Council sites, noting that there are numerous material, interactive lessons, articles, questions and answers in the British language.

Finally, the exchange of views was held on the report and a number of proposals were made.
